.What is linocut printing?
Linocut is a relief printmaking technique – similar to woodcut. A design is carved into a linoleum block with a sharp tool. Ink is then rolled onto the uncarved linoleum surface but not to any recessed (carved) areas. The areas of the linoleum block with ink will leave an impression on the paper, whereas the recessed areas of the block will leave the paper ink-free (like a stamp).
