Friends of Contemporary Craft Conversation with Dan Anderson

Internationally-recognized ceramicist Dan Anderson joins the Friends of Contemporary Craft for a Conversation about his work as vessel and as industrial artifact. Anderson is a full-time studio artist following 32 years of teaching ceramics at Southern Illinois University. An avid wood-firing enthusiast, Anderson has his own anagama wood kiln, “Mounds,” at his Old Poag Road Clay and Glass studio/home in rural Edwardsville, Illinois. Anderson’s ceramics may be found in numerous private and public collections around the world, including the Arkansas Arts Center. Anderson’s 1998 Oval Gas Can from the AAC Foundation Collection is currently on view at the Dee Brown Branch of the Central Arkansas Library System. Arkansas Arts Center Riverdale (2510 Cantrell Road). Free for FOCC members and students with valid ID; $10 for non-members.
